Musical Behavior

Oil & mixed media on illustration board. 10th artwork in my concentration for AP 2D Design of my senior year of high school. This piece was extremely difficult, especially in portraying my idea. I was trying to show how the interactions we have with other people and the verbal and nonverbal exchanges we have with those people are similar to phrases of music, and they flow through the people. I don't like how this piece turned out very much; too much symbology, I think, like the road signs to symbolize direction (creative, I know *sarcasm*) and the fireplace to represent a feeling of belonging, 'being at home' where you are in life. This was a tough one.
